Robyn and Jim are the perfect hosts. They are kind and generous and they spend time sharing their knowledge, going over maps, suggesting walks and activities to enable you to get the best out of your visit. They welcome you and make you feel so relaxed in their home. The setting is stunning overlooking Mount Taranaki and the house is very beautiful. Our room was large, luxurious and very well equipped and there is a large lounge that you can also use with lots of lovely books etc We were extremely lucky to sample Robyn's amazing cooking and baking (the best banana bread ever!). Breakfast was delicious with so much choice of cereals, fruits, yogurts etc. We stayed in 13 places in New Zealand and this is the one that touched our hearts. We only wish we could have stayed longer. It really is a very special place run by very special people. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas possibilité de mettre 6 étoiles car cela a été notre meilleur chambre d’hôte au cours de nos 5 semaines en Nouvelle Zélande ! Mille mercis à Robyn et Jim pour leur hospitalité ; toujours au petit soin pour rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Quelle gentillesse ! Robyn est une super cuisinière ! On se sent vraiment comme à la maison. La maison est magnifique avec des matériaux de très grande qualité, au calme, très propre, et avec une vue magnifique à 360 degrés …. Jim and Robyn are amazing hosts. We felt welcomed and at home. It was lovely experiencing kiwi country living surrounded by their hospitality and the amazing view of Mount Taranaki. The lodge is spacious, clean and filled with amenities. A must note is the good company and delicious cuisine. It’s about a 15 minute drive into New Plymouth yet it seems so away from the hustle and bustle. Don’t forget to wonder around the farm. Thanks Jim and Robyn. Till next time. Highlights are the owners (Robyn and Jim) and their hospitality which is just brilliant. Beautiful roast on the first night, healthy filling breakfasts and a setting that is just fabulous.
