The lodge is only a short scenic 10-minute drive from the New Plymouth airport and only 15 minutes drive from the centre of New Plymouth, a city known for gardens, walks, events and arts. The lodge is set on a working farm of 56 acres where guests are often able to experience seeing dogs mustering sheep or sheep being shorn. The lodge was architecturally designed to allow guests to experience New Zealand hospitality in a rural setting that is completely private. Including purpose-built wheelchair accessibility for the Egmont Room.
Guests can watch the changing moods of Mount Taranaki from the lounge or view the northern coastline from your room and patio. The lodge has been designed to be spacious with the travellers’ comfort in mind. There are super king beds that can convert to king singles. You can sit in front of the large open fire in winter or take in the sea views from the patio areas in summer. This is a marvellous place to relax and enjoy some of New Zealand’s world-famous scenery. A full breakfast is available, giving guests a filling start to their day of sightseeing.
